Château de Malleret 2016 – Haut-Médoc, Cru Bourgeois 

The nose is spicy and offers power as well as a small concentration. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of cassis, ripe berries and more slightly blackberry associated with touches of gray pepper, crunchy small red fruits as well as discreet hints of nutmeg/Spices, leather and mild tobacco (in the background). The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers freshness, precision, juiciness, a fine tension as well as crunchiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crunchy raspberry, crunchy cherry and more slightly small berries associated with fine touches of zan, cassis/crunchy berries, spices as well as discreet hints of nutmeg (in the background), leather and an imperceptible hint of chocolate.
