The wine has a medium ruby colour. The nose is dense, juicy and offers a concentrated and ripe fruity bouquet. It expresses notes of fresh Morello cherry, black plum, blackberry, wild strawberry, tart red cherry, as well as spices (black pepper, liquorice, nutmeg, a touch of cinnamon), herbs (dried mint, fresh thyme, black tea) and flowers (a touch of violet, lily and dried rose). On the palate, the wine has tension, freshness and well-integrated tannins that are fine and silky. Good fruitiness. The wine expresses juicy flavours, especially of red fruits (red cherry, red plum, strawberry, raspberry, red currant) with a touch of blueberry and black plum. There is also a delicate spiciness (black pepper, liquorice) and subtle floral notes (violet, lily, blueberry). The finish is persistent and a little spicier than the mid-palate, with sweet cinnamon and clove notes. Good acidity, freshness and overall balance.
