The wine benefits from being decanted. The nose is fruity, fleshy and powerful. There are notes of crushed blackberry, pulpy/crushed raspberry and more slightly nutmeg combined with a subtle hint of fleshy/crushed red berries, fresh flowers/irises and fine minerality and pepper. The palate offers minerality, freshness, fine tension, fatness, a nice pulpy/fresh fruit, a fine spherical side as well as energy. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh redcurrant and more slightly violet notes combined with hints of fresh/charry berries, nutmeg, spice and a subtle hint of vanilla and a discreet hint of tobacco. A fine touch of positive bitterness in the background.
