Château de Laubade – Brut de Fût 2006 – Bas-Armagnac

(52.9%. Updated 06/2024) The nose is elegant, frank, intense and offers power. Nicely in his style. There are notes of orangette, crushed peach and slight notes of sweet mandarin combined with touches of quince zest, fine hints of dried apricot as well as a discreet hint of tobacco and crème brulée. The palate is beautifully structured, fruity, gourmand, tense, frank and offers power, energy/dynamism as well as a nice, frank, racy and textured grain. On the palate this Armagnac expresses notes of dried apricot, marmalade and small notes of dried orange associated with touches of fresh rancio, toasted, fresh tobacco as well as a fine hint of vanilla, sweet spices and of pâtisseries. Good length. A subtle hint of pepper on the aftertaste. Roundness and suavity that bring gourmandise.
