Château de Laubade – Brut de Fût 2003 – Bas-Armagnac

(52.7%. Bottled : 06/2024) The nose is powerful, frank, ample and offers a melodious and harmonious side. There are notes of dried peach, dried zest and small notes of marmalade associated with touches of rancio, candied small citrus fruits/candied kumquat associated with touches of crushed dried apricot as well as fine hints of cedar and of pâtisseries. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, a little freshness, power, intensity, a nice stretched side as well as straightness in its power. On the palate this Armagnac expresses notes of dried apricot, jammy yellow peach and small notes of dried mandarin associated with touches of dried citrus fruits, pâtisseries, tobacco, fine hints of crème brulée as well as a hint dried flowers and pepper. Good length. Power.
