The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity with purple reflections. The nose opens with notes of ripe red and black fruits (wild blackberry, tangy red cherry, black cherry, crème de cassis, blueberry). Then the nose expresses slightly peppery, floral (violet), dried herb (thyme, rosemary, oregano), smoky, and tobacco notes, with fine touches of coffee and cocoa. On the palate, the wine expresses freshness and tension. The flavors are pronounced, and fruity (cranberries, redcurrant, strawberry). The tannins are tight, of a medium (+) level, balanced by a fairly ample body, of a medium (+) level. The finish is persistent and spicy (black pepper, dried mint, licorice, smoke), with juicy notes of red fruits in jam. A nice roundness and complexity, supported by a firm but refined structure.
