On the nose, elegant, all in balance and offers density (in balance), depth (in finesse) as well as a little blackness, concentration. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, delicate dense/pulpy black berries and more slightly zan associated with touches of black pepper, purple plum bursting, camphor as well as fine hints of cocoa, chalky minerality (almost saline), tobacco, coffee and spices. On the palate, the wine is well balanced and offers freshness, minerality, good definition, gourmandise and acidity/freshness, density (freshness), depth and concentration. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, fresh/charny red berries and more lightly bursting blackcurrant combined with hints of bursting blue plum, chocolate/cocoa, toastiness, bourbon vanilla bean, discrete hints of tobacco and a subtle hint of grey pepper (in the background). Good length. The tannins are present, massive, well conducted and offer a little polish. |
