The nose is well managed and reveals good definition, fine richness of fruit, concentration and a very fine creaminess. There are notes of pulpy bigarreau cherry, violet and, more slightly, creamy blackcurrant combined with delicate touches of wild strawberry and a subtle hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, offering gourmandize, purity, a nice burst of fruit and a tangy backbone. There are notes of pulpy/crunchy bigarreau cherry, violet and a hint of blackcurrant combined with touches of bright blue berries, fresh tobacco, a hint of star anise and a subtle touch of cinnamon and vanilla. The tannins are small, soft and sapid.
