Château de la Grenière 2022 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity, fresh and juicy. It reveals notes of bright blackcurrant, creamy blackberry and, more slightly, crushed berries associated with touches of vanilla, liquorice as well as fine hints of toast and a subtle iodine hint. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, balanced, nicely tangy, offering delicacy, energy and a tangy frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, tangy blackcurrant and, more slightly, small tangy red berries, associated with a touch of flowers (iris), tonka bean and fine hints of flint/gravel as well as hints of toast and toasted almond. There is also a fine hint of dark chocolate in the background. Good little chew and nice gourmandise in the background.
