Château de La Dauphine 2020 – Fronsac

The nose is fruity and offers harmony, a certain intensity as well as a nice fine grain, powerful and precise. It reveals notes of juicy/fresh wild blackberry, raspberry and slight hints of fresh nutmeg associated with fine touches of spices, small pulpy red fruits, hints of violet, lilac as well as a fine hint fresh pepper and graphite/flint. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, gourmandise, some pulpiness, roundness, good definition, a certain volume, elegance, as well as a fine tangy frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, violet and slight notes of fleshy blackcurrant associated with touches of raspberry, cornflower, fresh/juicy small red fruits as well as hints of lilac, graphite, cardamom and a hint of vanilla/fresh toast. The tannins are supple and well-developed. Good length and sapidity.
