Château de la Charrière – Clos des Vignes Franches 2018 – Beaune 1er Cru

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers a small power, deepness as well as a fine grain. It reveals notes of fleshy strawberry, Boysen berry, small notes of violet associated with small touches of lily, liquorice, ripe cassis as well as small hints of tobacco, very fine hints of pepper (in the background) and chocolate. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, a small suavity as well as gourmandize and a fine/finely tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, pulpy Boysen berry, small notes of violet associated with fine touches of lily, lilac, violet, strawberry as well as fine hints of sugared mild tobacco and a discreet hint of sweet spices. Good length.
