A lovely velvety nose, captivating, intense, powerful and elegant at the same time, with a precise grain, very fine racy, a lovely airiness, complexity. The wine benefits from being decanted and requires time to open up. The nose expresses notes of wild blackberry, blueberry, liquorice stick and small notes of small wild blue fruits associated with touches of lily, blueberry, fine hints of Sichuan pepper, a very discreet touch of roasted cherry, an almost infusion hint and a lovely limestone and spicy hint. The palate is beautifully fresh, juicy, mineral, fruity, chiseled and offers the brilliance of beautifully pure fruit. It expresses notes of boysenberry, bright blackcurrant and small notes of juicy/bright blueberry associated with touches of juicy/bright cherry as well as hints of cornflower, liquorice stick, vanilla as well as a fine hint of cinnamon, lily/lilac, toast and salinity. Lovely sapid, saline finish with chewiness and a coating side of the barrel. A nice tension, fleshiness, a very nice freshness and volume in the mouth.
