Château de Cîteaux 2017 – Beaune-Teurons, Premier Cru

The nose offers a small intensity, freshness as well as a small power. This wine needs to be put in carafe. It reveals notes of wild strawberry, blackberry and small notes of fresh leather associated with fine touches of juicy blueberry, spices, rose/violet as well as discreet hints of grey pepper, toasted/vanilla and an imperceptible saline hint (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, a good definition, an acidulous frame as well as gourmandize. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy red cherry, fleshy redcurrant and small notes of juicy blueberry associated with fine touches of violet, lilac, racy minerality as well as discreet hints of rose wood and fresh leather. Tannins are very finely firm.
