Château de Birazel Maximus 2022 – Bordeaux

The nose offers intensity, a certain power. It expresses notes of wild blackberry, fleshy strawberry and more slightly – pepper associated with touches of crushed blackcurrant, as well as hints of cornflower, star anise and has a fine hint of pepper and salinity. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, acidity, good definition, a certain accuracy, a tangy structure, tension, a certain slight straightness. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, blackcurrant and more slightly – small tangy red fruits, associated with touches of violet, star anise and toast. A lovely creamy airy substance. Pretty fresh and tangy. The tannins are finely marked.
