Château de Birazel – Auguste 2021 – Bordeaux

The nose is fine and reveals a certain richness. There are notes of blackcurrant, fresh blackberry and more lightly ripe/fresh red berries combined with fine touches of lily, cardamom and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, good definition, acidity and a fine richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidic casis, raspberry and more slightly crunchy red berries combined with fine touches of chocolate, almond and tonka bean. Good length. A subtle varietal touch in the background. Mellow tannins.
