Château de  Cranne  2011 – Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is aromatic and offers a slight unctuosity/generosity in the background. It reveals notes of dark chocolate/mocha, fresh blackberry and fresh cassis associated with slight notes of fresh strawberry, hints of toasted oak, caramelization as well as a subtle hint of ripe bell pepper and Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful suavity/gourmandise, a beautiful fruit, a slight acid frame, a slight tension as well as a beautiful suavity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of wild raspberry and wild ripe berries associated with hints of cassis, a discreet hint of crushed strawberry as well as slight toasted touches, chocolate and a very discreet hint of verbena. Tannins are fine and very slightly firm. Good length. There is a hint of bitterness on the aftertaste. An easy-drinking wine.
