The nose is fruity, elegant, gourmand, mineral, fresh, tense and offers a nice definition, depth as well as a fine concentration. Aromatic concentration / hint of darkness in elegance. We find notes of pulpy blackberry, bright strawberry and more slightly infusion associated with delicate mineral touches, toasted, fine hints of almost roasted-juicy small fruits, blueberry as well as a discreet hint of Bourbon vanilla, crushed blue plum, a subtle hint of graphite and cubeb pepper. The palate is nicely led, precise, vibrant, round, full, gourmand, airy, racy, nicely balanced and offers a nice textured side, depth that a very nice airy side in its material, in its creaminess. An elegant darkness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of violet, pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/juicy raspberry and small notes of fleshy/bright strawberry associated with touches of sage, infusion, star anise as well as a subtle hint of almost roasted-juicy fruits (a Mediterranean side of the fruit in the approach, of its maturity), with discreet hints of tonka bean, toast, star anise and a hint of chocolate. A nice acidity and a beautiful salinity on the finish/persistence. The tannins are soft, chalky and gourmand.
