On the nose it is elegant, power (with excellence), intensity (with excellence), depth as well as a nice fineness of grain. It reveals the notes of pulpy/fleshy blackberry, fleshy/crushed cherries and more slightly strawberry associated with toast, fresh blond tobacco, blueberry as well as hints of violet, bergamot, racy minerality (almost iodized), discrete hints of licorice and a discreet touch of toast. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers a nice freshness, minerality, good definition, juiciness, intensity, delicacy, a little compactness, suavity, dynamism/energy, a controlled power and a nice tangy frame. A certain richness of fruit but with finesse. The wine express the notes of pulpy blackberry, bright cassis and more lightly bright red currants associated with hints of cherry, cherry blossom, lilac, racy minerality, hints of bergamot, blueberry, saffron, nutmeg as well as fine hints of toast, chocolate, a discreet hint of vanilla and a subtle hint of sweet blond tobacco. The tannins are precise, fine and racy. Good (and palatable) length.
