The nose is fragrant, expressive, with a pronounced sappy and minty hints. The first nose expresses notes of pine sap, pine needles and fresh oak. We then find notes of blackcurrant, morello cherry, red cherry, blackberry, blueberry, fresh toasted hazelnut, wild mint. On the palate, the wood is quite present and not yet integrated. We then find notes of morello cherry, red cherry, blackcurrant, toasted hazelnut and wild mint. The tannins are a little dry on the finish, but balanced by a nice salivating acidity. We also find a touch of mint, a delicate bitterness and juiciness in the fairly persistent finish with a tannic touch of black plum and bird cherry.
