The nose offers concentration. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of crushed blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and more slightly violet combined with hints of pulpy/crushed cherry, fine violet, racy minerality and a subtle hint of cardamom, camphor and clove/spice. The palate is fruity and offers tension, straightness and minerality. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/crunchy blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and more slightly fleshy/crushed red fruit notes combined with hints of racy minerality, a subtle hint of iodine as well as fine hints of cardamom, chocolate, toast and almond. The tannins are finely powdered and very tightly wound. Good length. Nice acidity and tension on the finish.
