Château Daugay 2020 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, fresh, floral, finely tight and offers a fine concentration. It reveals notes of fresh/pulpy cassis, pulpy strawberry, small notes of cherry associated with fine touches of grey pepper, small ripe/fresh black fruits, nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of fresh blond tabaco. The mouth is fruity, balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, a good definition as well as a fine freshness, juiciness, a certain finesse, a nice fat, a small tension, pulpiness, a fine straightness and a racy minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous cassis associated with small touches of small juicy/fresh berries, flower as well as hints of racy minerality, fine hints of chocolate, a subtle hint of caramelization and vanilla. The tannins are precis, discreetly tight and very discreetly firm. good length. A fine sapidity in the finish/ persistence.
