The nose is fruity, fresh and offers good definition, a discreet hint of roast, and some power. There are notes of roasted cherry, pulpy strawberry and, to a lesser extent, juicy blackcurrant, combined with fine floral touches, as well as delicate touches of bright berries and a subtle hint of saltiness. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, sapidity, freshness, lovely energy, complexity, a fine sense of place, ripeness, purity and a certain suppleness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of roasted cherry, juicy raspberry, juicy strawberry and more lightly of fresh blue berries combined with touches of pulpy red currant as well as fine nuances of lily, peony, a very discreet hint of star anise, an imperceptible touch of blood orange and liquorice.
