The nose is fruity, clear and racy, with a side of infusion and depth. It reveals notes of blackberry, violet and cubeb pepper, associated with touches of small fairly ripe fruits, as well as a discreet hint of spice and almost orange zest. The palate is well-built, fresh, supple and racy, with good fat and energy. In mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright cherry and small notes of small crushed red berries, associated with touches of nutmeg, small light-roasted fruits, as well as fine hints of cubeb pepper, tobacco and zest/sappy. Good length. Tannins are relatively powerful. A hint of roast and cocoa in the background.
