Château Croizet-Bages 2024 – Pauillac, Cru Classé

The nose is beautifully elegant, it offers a certain unctuosity, breed, precision, accuracy, a bewitching side, aromatic depth and lovely texture. It reveals notes of bright wild cassis and small brilliant fruits, associated with touches of crushed strawberry, as well as fine hints of fleshy strawberry gariguette, violet, zan, cherry blossom, a very discreet hint of delicate infusion and star anise. The palate is beautifully fruity, mineral, well-balanced, it offers a tangy frame, minerality and a lovely sappy side that drives the tasting. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh wild cassis, fresh/ripe wild cherry and small notes of lilac and pistil, combined with touches of small crunchy fruits, as well as fine hints of star anise and racy minerality. Good length. The tannins are precise, mellow, elegant and tasty. A wine offering delicacy, aromatic depth and gourmandise. A hint of mocha and an almost infusion/concentration note in the background.
