The nose is fruity and offers some intensity and depth. There are notes of crunchy blackcurrant, black berries and a hint of liquorice combined with hints of fresh flowers/purple as well as hints of saffron and a discreet touch of nutmeg. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers a tangy structure, juiciness, good definition and some tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, crushed blackberry and, more slightly, raspberry, combined with hints of red berries and fine varietal/fresh flower notes. Racy tannins. Good length. A subtle hint of toast/bitterness in the background.
