Château Croix Canon 2021 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

The wine has a pale ruby color. The first nose expresses notes of torrefaction (smoke, heated wood, toast) and sweet spices (nutmeg, licorice, white pepper), which then combine with notes of tangy fruits (red cherry, raspberry), as well as juicy notes of blackberry, morello cherry and black plum, with a hint of mint in the background. The palate is airy, fruity and gourmand. It expresses the flavors of red cherry, morello cherry, blackberry, black plum, raspberry and red chocolate cherry, combined with notes of mint, licorice, white pepper and a touch of vanilla in the background. The tannins are fine, but a little tight. The finish is quite persistent, fresh and tangy, with pleasant herbaceous notes (blackcurrant leaf, mint), which add dynamism to the wine. An airy, chiseled and fresh wine.
