The nose is aromatic, expressive, gourmand and tasty. It expresses notes of juicy fresh fruits, roasted and dried fruits in the background (ripe morello cherry, roasted bigarreau cherry, wild strawberry, dried red cherry, crushed raspberry, cassis), roasted and fresh herbs (roasted bouquet garni, fresh tobacco, dried rosemary), a gourmand toasted hint, a touch of dark chocolate and a tangy hint of cocoa nibs, violet, a hint of peony. The palate offers also a hint of macerated cherry on the persistence as well as a ripe fruitiness substance, with roasted touches (morello cherry, roasted bigarreau cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, cassis), herbaceous and chocolatey side (roasted bouquet garni, fresh tobacco, dark chocolate). The tannins have a fine grain, but grippy, softened by a salivating and fresh acidity. The wine seems closed at the moment, but offers solidity, straightness and elegance. Toasted touches and a good cocoa bitterness on the persistence.
