Château Couhins 2019 – Pessac-Léognan

Château Couhins 2019 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is fruity and offers a certain finesse as well as a fine and very discreetly tight grain. Great potential if decanted. There are notes of pulpy blackberry, violet and more slightly crushed / bright strawberry associated with touches of small blue currants, graphite as well as discreet hints of sweet spices, a subtle hint of nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of grey pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced, well-rounded and offers juiciness, a mineral frame, some tension, shine, a little fat as well as a little stretched side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, bright cassis, fresh raspberry and more slightly of fresh / bright / juicy small red fruits associated with touches of racy minerality, mocha as well as fine hints of toasted almond, with a subtle saline hint and a very discreet hint of blond tobacco. Tannins are precise, salivating and discreetly tight.
