The nose is fruity and offers creaminess, restrained power and a fine tightness. There are notes of creamy blackberry, pulpy blue plum and, to a lesser extent, crushed raspberry combined with touches of creamy berries, liquorice, chocolate, a discreet hint of toastiness and vanilla. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, an acidic backbone, an airy character, a little contained richness, some gourmandize. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy/acidic wild strawberry and a bit of violet, combined with hints of cardamom, toasted hazelnut and fine hints of chocolate and nutmeg. The tannins are soft but straight-forward.
