The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of pulpy berries, violet, iris and more slightly roasted red fruits combined with delicate touches of sweet blond tobacco, vanilla and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, mineral, balanced, a little tight and offers some freshness, tension, roundness and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy black berries, fresh raspberry and more slightly lilac, violet combined with hints of pulpy/fresh berries, a hint of star anise as well as a discreet hint of saline/iodine and toasted almond. Good length.
