Château Côte de Baleau 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fresh and offers fruit as well as a certain intensity/concentration. It reveals notes of boysenberry, violet and small notes of wild red berries associated with touches of pepper as well as hints of cardamom, graphite, sweet spices and hints of fresh blond tobacco. The palate is nicely carried out with fruit, balance, elegance. There is creaminess, energy, spices and a tangy frame with concentration. We have notes of creamy blackcurrant, wild strawberry and small notes of small wild berries associated with touches of lily, iris as well as a fine hint of cocoa. Tannins are mellow, sapid and tasty. There is a nice chewiness at the end of the palate on the persistence. Good length.
