Château Côte de Baleau 2011- Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

On the nose is finely tight and offers some power, a finely powdery texture as well as some intensity. It reveals notes of fairly ripe blackberry, cassis and more lightly spices associated with touches of black pepper, fine hints of toasted hazelnut as well as a discreet hint of tobacco and cinnamon. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, gourmandize, nice definition, tension, precision as well as a stretched and discreetly tight side. This wine express notes of pulpy blackberry, juicy / pulpy bcassis and more slightly fleshy raspberry associated with touches of violet, cornflowers, chocolate as well as hints of toasted hazelnut, caramelization and a subtle hint of vanilla. Tannins are precise, elegant and very discreetly mellow.
