Château Confidence 2020 – Margaux

On the nose, fruity, racy, discreetly dense, with juiciness, a little concentration, elegance and energy. Notes of bright blackberry, cherry and more lightly bright red berries combined with hints of lily, cherry pit, racy minerality as well as fine hints of bergamot, cherry blossom, licorice and a subtle touch of spice. The palate is fruity, round, ample and offers roundness, fat, gourmandize, good definition, a certain pulpiness, tension, a nice freshness, a certain purity of the fruit as well as an airy character in the balance. The wine express the notes of juicy cherry, bright red berry and slightly pulpy blackberry combined with a touch of crisp/juicy strawberry, lily, lilac/cherry blossom, fine hints of licorice stick and a discreet hint of nutmeg, sweet blond tobacco and ripe almond. The tannins are precise, well conducted and offer a little mellow. Good length. A fine chew on the finish / persistence.
