Château Clos de Boüard 2020 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

On the nose it is fruity, it offers a certain controlled richness, a fine/tight grain discreetly tight as well as tension and depth. It reveals the notes of wild blackberry, pulpy cassis  and more slightly fleshy strawberry combined with touches of fleshy blue fruits, wild berries, lilac, cherry blossom, nutmeg as well as hints of sweet spice, tea, vanilla. On the mouth it is fruity, elegant and offers juiciness, freshness, a nice definition, minerality as well as fat and richness as well as contained richness, tension and an airy character. The wine express the notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, creamy black cassis and slightly raspberry combined with hints of blue plum, cornflower, licorice as well as hints of light tobacco, saffron, nutmeg, toasted hazelnut and vanilla. Good length. The tannins are elegant and mellow
