Château Clos Beauséjour 2020 – Pomerol

Château Clos Beauséjour 2020 – Pomerol

The nose is expressive, aromatic and concentrated. The wine offers notes of tangy but ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry), red fruits (raspberry, garriguette strawberry, red currant), associated with herbaceous notes of wild mint, menthol and blackcurrant leaf, as well as spicy notes of liquorice, ground cumin and white pepper. There are also subtle floral touches of violet, lily and peony. On the palate, the wine is chiseled, but supple and savoury: there are notes of juicy black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, morello cherry, black plum), red fruits (wood strawberry, red cherry, red currant), a touch sweet spices (cumin, cloves, licorice, grilled vanilla in the background), herbs and dried flowers (violet, cornflower, wild mint). The finish is fresh, tangy and a little bitter. Good acidity which brings freshness and good persistence. The tannins are tight, but fine. An elegant and fresh wine.
