Château Climens 2009 – Barsac, 1er Grand Cru Classé de Sauternes

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers freshness, a racy minerality, intensity, complexity as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of crystalized lime, candied lemon and small notes of passion fruit associated with fine touches of verbena, lemon flowers as well as discreet hints of white/green tea, green apple, pink litchee as well as discreet hints of spices. This wine should be decanted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant, beautifully racy and offers fat, a beautiful finesse of the grain, precision, unctuosity, gourmandize, a beautiful delicacy/finesse, freshness, an acidulous frame as well as complexity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied green apple, candied vine peach and small notes of crystalized lime associated with fine hints of exotic fruits, white tea, lemon flowers, vanilla flowers as well as discreet hints of sweet spices. Good length.
