A lovely fruity nose, fresh, elegant and offers brightness, a fine peppery/spicy side. It expresses notes of blackberry, violet, and more slightly bright wild cassis, associated with fine touches of bigarreau cherry, as well as fine hints of infusion, tea, a subtle hint of Sichuan pepper and has a very discreet hint almost aromatic herbs. The palate is nicely mineral, fresh, elegant, gourmet, sustained, precise, and offers an airy and at the same time quite present side, nice structure. It expresses notes of bigarreau cherry, small juicy/fresh red berries and more slightly – fresh cassis, associated with touches of cornflower, wisteria as well as hints of racy minerality, fresh gravel, infusion, star anise and a subtle hint of tonka bean, nutmeg, and toasted almond. A nice little chew on the finish/persistence. An imperceptible hint of almost fresh coffee in the background. Lovely freshness and smoothness/suppleness. A hint of roasting on the finish/persistence.
