The nose is elegant, precise and offers lovely ripe, fresh fruit. We find notes of boysenberry, graphene and small notes of crushed black cherry associated with touches of small dense/concentrated red fruits, as well as hints of fresh tobacco, a subtle, almost blood orange/mandarin hint and a discreet hint of sweet spices. The palate is well-built, supple, airy, elegant, chiselled and offers depth as well as depth and concentration in accuracy. A little elegant austerity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy cassis, concentrated black plum and crushed redcurrant, combined with an almost sweet cranberry touch, as well as pretty hints of graphene/gunflint, fresh flowers, fine hints of dark chocolate, Bourbon vanilla and discreet hints of toastiness. The tannins are mellow, chiselled and elegant. Good length. A discreet hint of sappy/aniseed in the background. A harmonious wine.
