Château Claude-Bellevue 2024 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is finely woody (rather expressive, but without being too woody): it expresses notes of toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, dried pine needles, wrapped in juicy fresh fruits (morello cherry, red cherry, red currants, raspberry, blueberry, garriguette strawberry), notes of fragrant flowers (violet, peony, rose petals), a hint of mint and blackcurrant leaf in the background. The palate offers tangy and fruity flavors (red cherry, raspberry, cranberries, crunchy strawberry), finely spiced (nutmeg, licorice), with a good bitterness. The tannins are structured, cocoa-like. Good persistence with a mineral hint of dry gravel. Good length and salivating acidity.
