The nose is elegant, nicely racy and offers a certain power with delicacy. There are notes of liquorice, morello cherry and slightly crushed blackcurrant combined with a hint of violet, blueberry and a hint of sweet blond tobacco and a touch of sweet spice. The palate is fruity, fresh, elegant and offers energy, a nice acidic frame and delicacy in its relative power and richness. On the palate this wine expresses morello cherry, crunchy/acidic raspberry and more slightly acidic/juicy red plum notes combined with a touch of juicy blackberry, hints of star anise, racy minerality, a subtle hint of graphite as well as fine hints of sweet spice and chocolate. The tannins are supple. Good work on the bitter taste. Juicy and fresh fruit.
