The nose is fruity and offers a certain brightness, a little spicy/peppery side, a fine velvety side. It expresses notes of pulpy/ripe wild blackcurrant, violet and more slightly – Sichuan pepper associated with touches of blackberry, small crushed red fruits as well as fine hints of cornflower and star anise. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, energy, a mineral framework, good definition, juiciness, harmony, suppleness, delicacy in its power, a stretched/tense side. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/juicy black cherry, and small notes of pulpy black plum associated with a touch of bigarreau cherry as well as hints of camphor, graphite and discreet hints of nutmeg and toast.
