Château Cheval Blanc 2022 – Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity and offers a certain intensity, precision, a racy grain as well as elegance. It reveals notes of creamy blackcurrant, boysenberry and small notes of red berries associated with almost eucalyptus touches, Timut pepper as well as hints of violet, tobacco as well as subtle hints of sage and sweet spices. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, tension, mellowness, a good definition, a beautiful freshness, complexity as well as accuracy. Fat, a coating and generous side, but all in control and elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, juicy/fresh cherry and small notes of violet associated with touches of crushed plum, chocolate, nutmeg as well as hints of star anise/licorice, Timut pepper, a subtle almost sage hint and toasted almond. Good length. Beautiful and mellow grain. Chewiness. Hints of roasting and cocoa on the persistence.
