The nose is fruity, fresh, racy and tight. Notes of boysenberry, crunchy redcurrant and, to a lesser extent, fleshy cherry are combined with fine cherry blossom, liquorice and a discreet hint of spice. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers freshness, a mineral backbone, good definition and a certain gourmandise. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, crushed redcurrant and, more slightly, violet, combined with hints of violet plum, as well as fine notes of liquorice, sweet tobacco and sweet spices. The tannins are well-managed.
