Château Chauvin 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fresh, racy, deep, elegant, airy and melodious. It reveals notes of boysenberry, violet and small notes of bright berries associated with touches of bergamot, infusion, elegant-roasted red small fruits as well as discreet hints of blond tobacco, sage and a delicate note almost of aromatic herbs and nutmeg. On the palate, the wine is beautifully fresh, juicy, precise, elegant and offers a sappy and gourmande texture, a stretched character, a tangy frame, a beautiful deepness, beautifully mellow, density, a certain elegant austerity and a small unctuosity in freshness. Full of accuracy and delicacy. In mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy blackcurrant, concentrated blackberry, concentrated wild red berries associated with touches of elegant-roasted fruits, a subtle hint of cornflower, star anise, tobacco, sappy as well as a subtle hint almost of cypress and dark chocolate/mocha. The persistence is marked by a lovely chewiness. Tannins are fresh, tasty, mellow and gourmands. Good work on the good bitternees in the background. Congratulations!
