Château Chauvin 2011 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

Château Chauvin 2011 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

On the nose it is fresh, elegant, racy and offers a little airy side to the approach. It reveals notes of fresh wild blackberry, dried cassis and more lightly wild fruits associated with touches of undergrowth, spices as well as a hint of nutmeg and gray pepper. On the palate is fruity and offers freshness, a nice tangy frame, nice ripe / tangy fruit, a slight straightness as well as a little tension. This wine expresses notes of tangy blackberry, juicy / tangy redcurrants and more slightly dried small red fruits associated with touches of violet, camphor, tonka bean as well as fine hints of toasted hazelnut and a subtle hint of tobacco. Tannins are precise, fine, delicate and supple. Good length. Presence of a very discreet hint of cocoa on the persistence.
