The nose is marked by graphite and reveals richness/concentration of fruit. There are notes of blackberry, fresh strawberry and more lightly ripe or slightly roasted red berries combined with fine nutmeg and a subtle hint of sweet spices. The palate is fruity and shows a tangy spine, good definition, a certain amount of tension and juiciness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/acidic cherry, blackcurrant and slightly fresh red berry fruit with a subtle roasted edge, discrete hints of liquorice and a subtle touch of cherry blossom, graphite and fresh nutmeg. Good length. Fine chewiness on the finish/persistence.
