The nose is fresh, discreetly tight and tense. The wine benefits from decanting. There are notes of blackcurrant, ripe strawberry and slightly balsamic, combined with fine touches of zan, a subtle hint of Madagascar pepper, as well as a subtle hint of ripe cherry and discreet hints of nutmeg/fresh flowers. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers a tangy/juicy structure, some fat as well as a finely unctuous and very discreetly tight body. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/crunchy strawberry, crushed redcurrant and, more slightly, crushed/overripe cherry, combined with touches of blueberry, iris, lily/varietal hint, as well as fine notes of caramelisation and a hint of cocoa. The tannins are smooth.
