The nose is a little tight, finely reduced for the moment. There are notes of concentrated blackcurrant, zan and more slightly violet combined with hints of crisp strawberry as well as fine iris, spices and roots. The palate shows minerality, a fresh structure, good definition, juiciness, and a certain concentration with a fairly marked addition of press wine. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/ripe wild blackcurrant, crushed blackberry and more lightly liquorice combined with delicate touches of crushed strawberry, violet, cardamom, a hint of small crushed dark berries and a subtle hint of chocolate (in the background). The tannins are mellow.
