Château Certan de May de Certan 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, racy and offers juiciness, a small intensity/power, a beautiful definition as well as a good aromatic complexity. It reveals notes of fleshy/juicy cassis, cornflower and small notes of small blue fruits associated with touches of crunchy/juicy raspberry, fine hints of toasted, liquorice stick, caramelized oak, a very discreet hint of cardamom (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of Bourbon vanilla. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers juiciness, an acidulous frame, tension, a good finesse of the grain, a beautiful delicacy/finesse, richness (full of finesse) as well as a small aerial side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cassis, juicy/ripe small blue fruits and small notes of cornflower associated with small touches of violet, vanilla pod as well as hints of fleshy/juicy raspberry, toasted, sweet spices, chocolate, very discreet hints of caramelization (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of black tea (in the background). Tannins are elegant, precise and structuring.
