The nose is tight and offers some concentration, a fine density. There are notes of blackcurrant, liquorice and, more slightly, violet, combined with hints of crushed blueberry, fine hints of strawberry and fine hints of zan and sweet spices. The palate is mineral and offers juiciness, minerality, a mineral spine, tension, a certain energy, concentration and density, some roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fairly ripe/crushed blackcurrant, black plum and more lightly pulpy blueberry combined with hints of juicy/acidic red berries as well as hints of violet, liquorice, fine chocolate and toastiness. Good length.
